Lam Dong is a mountainous province in the southern Central Highlands with an area of ​​9,764.79 km2, of which forest area accounts for 618,815 hectares, with a coverage density of 63% of the entire province area. Currently, Lam Dong has two national forests: Bidup Nui Ba national park and part of Cat Tien national park.

Some rare animals in Lam Dong

 

With an extremely rich and diverse flora and fauna: about 128 animal families belonging to 31 orders, including groups of insects, amphibians, reptiles, birds, mammals and about 2,000 types of plants, including over 400 different types of precious wood.

Lam Dong nature not only has a rich and diverse flora and fauna system, but also has many hidden precious minerals with large unexploited reserves. According to statistics, the whole province has over 25 types of minerals, most notably bauxite ore and other minerals such as kaolin, diatomite, bentonite, ganite, peat... capable of large-scale exploitation. Besides, Lam Dong is also an area with many types of precious and semi-precious stones with economic value such as: quartz, agate, topa, etc. olivine…
