Lam Dong is a province with many ethnic groups. According to recent statistics, Lam Dong has up to 42 ethnic groups. Among them, the Ma, Coho and Churu are three ethnic groups that have long lived on this land. Visitors coming to the Lam Dong Museum will have a fairly complete understanding of the historical origins of the ethnic group, environment, residential area, characteristics of economic form, social organization, customs and traditions related to the most essential needs in the life cycle of people and communities such as: food, clothing, housing, weddings, childbirth, ghosts. fasting, worship,... family relationships, social community, festivals and traditional music, literature - folk art,... All have created a unique and rich cultural nuance of the indigenous ethnic groups in Lam Dong. Through over 500 artifacts, models, picture boxes and fine assembliesart, audio-visual systems... the life of each ethnic group is somewhat clearly recreated.
Not only does it stop at researching, collecting and preserving the cultural values of ethnic groups through exhibits, but coming to the Museum, visitors can also visit the ethnic cultural area right on the Museum's campus, with two Rustic, beloved stilt houses of the Ma and Coho people and admire the gong model with a diameter of 7m (recognized as the largest bronze gong model in Vietnam).
