October to April brings cool, clear weather ideal for trekking in Sapa and cruising Ha Long Bay. March and April are particularly lovely, with warm days and minimal rain. Avoid July–August when typhoon-season rains can affect the coast.
Central Vietnam (Hoi An, Da Nang, Hue)
February to August is the dry season for central Vietnam. June to August delivers hot, sunny days – perfect for beach time in Da Nang. Heavy rains arrive from October to January.

Tet (Lunar New Year, late Jan/early Feb) is Vietnam's biggest celebration. Hoi An Full Moon Lantern Festival happens monthly. The Hue Festival of traditional arts takes place bi-annually.
